Alex Gerst is a recognized Dallas drummer and studio engineer/producer with 20 years experience as a musician, producer, and studio engineer, and live sound mixing.
Alex has recorded many popular Texas groups such as: Free Reign, Slow Roosevelt, Doosu, Jibe, Caulk, South Fm, Pimpadelic, Project 232, Montie Cassino, The Servo, Generic, Jenny Dick, The Destro, Pulling Wool, 5 Factor Model, Skunk Anise, Chet Arthur, 10W-30, Liquid-tri-Psycle, Slobber Bone, Roller, Captain Phatt, Hagfish, El Diablo, and members from Ministry and various groups for Epic Records, BMI Records, and Atlantic Records.
He's worked with the producers of Godsmack, Unloco, Nine Inch Nails, Tripping Daisy, Stabbing Westward, and The Toadies. Alex also produced and enginered Slow Roosevelt's previous album, "Throw Away Your Stereo". He won the Fort Worth Star Telegram 1999 "Producer/Engineer Of The Year" for his work on Slow Roosevelt's "Throw Away Your Stereo". He was also nominated by the Dallas Observer as 1999 "Producer/Engineer Of The Year" for his work on Slow Roosevelt's "Throw Away Your Stereo".
